In a well-designed kitchen, storage is about more than just stowing away cookware—it’s about maintaining a seamless aesthetic while keeping everything within reach. The best kitchens don’t sacrifice function for form; they integrate hidden storage solutions that disappear when not in use. From appliance garages to pull-out pantries, here’s how MandiCasa’s Made-in-Italy cabinetry elevates storage into an art form.
Appliance Garages
Small appliances are essential, but they don’t always need to be on display. Appliance garages allow coffee makers, toasters, and mixers to be tucked away behind sleek, lift-up or roll-up doors. Designed to match the surrounding cabinetry, these compartments keep countertops clear while keeping appliances easily accessible. For those who love an uncluttered space without compromising convenience, an appliance garage is a must.
Pull-Out Everything
Pull-out drawers and shelving make it easier to access deep storage areas, eliminating the need to rummage through cabinets. Pull-out spice racks, tray organizers, and even concealed prep stations bring efficiency to daily kitchen routines. Integrated soft-close technology adds to the refinement and quietude of the space.
Pocket Doors & Hidden Pantries
Pocket doors take hidden storage to another level, sliding neatly out of sight when open and tucking away when closed. Used to conceal built-in bar areas, coffee stations, or secondary prep zones, these doors allow spaces to transition effortlessly between open and closed configurations. For homeowners who want to keep certain areas discreet yet fully functional, pocket doors are an elegant solution.
With UNICA, Anything is Possible
The designers at MandiCasa took the concept of hidden storage to another level with one of our recent projects.
This bespoke kitchen features a wall unit with bi-folding pocket doors that open with an easy push-pull mechanism and disappear to the sides of the unit. Inside, the storage space is tailor made, inch by inch, to fit the client’s requirements. It includes six deep drawers, with the top two featuring fronts in ceramic to match the unit’s countertop. Open shelves alternate with framed glass cabinets, all with custom fitted LED lights. Fitted between the countertop and the glass cabinets is a Modus unit in black finish. This unit can be accessorized to store a variety of items – including stemware and paper towel rolls (as shown in the picture).
